BitTorrent Sync

If you have to exchange files with your co-workers on a regular basis, you may want something more efficient than a mail client or FTP server. It gives you the possibility of synchronizing several folders, on different machines, over the Internet. If you establish a connection between two or more folders, on different machines, you will be able to make any files available everywhere, by simply copying or moving them to one of these folders.

Sharing folders and connecting them to others is a simple and secure operation. All you have to do is add a local folder to a sync list, on the application's interface and click a button to generate a unique ID, also known as secret, for that folder. If you receive a secret from a co-worker, you can paste it, instead of generating a new one, to connect your folder to a shared one, from another machine. Anything you place in a shared folder will appear in all folders, with the same secret, in just a few seconds.

You can view a folder's secret on a small window, on which you can also find options for generating new secrets or copying them to the clipboard. What's more, the application is capable of generating separate secrets, for full access or read only rights. Other tweaks can be made on the same window, like setting the application to use relay and tracker servers, to store deleted files in an archive and more.
